Supervisors from the Puerto Rico Federal Defender Office recently participated in a leadership coaching intensive with Natalie Miller, focused on enhancing communication, decision-making, and team-building skills to foster a more supportive and effective work culture.

In September, supervisors from the Puerto Rico Federal Defender Office participated in a full day leadership coaching intensive led by Natalie Miller, an expert in personal and professional development. The training, entitled “Empowered Approaches to Office Conflict,” was designed specifically for the Office’s supervisory staff, and focused on enhancing communication, decision-making, and team-building skills.

Through a mix of interactive workshops and practical exercises, participants gained insights into effective management strategies and ways to move from “contentiousness to co-creativity.” Natalie’s tailored approach helped the FPD-PR’s supervisory team deepen their self-awareness, strengthen their leadership presence, and brainstorm ways to create a supportive and motivated work culture geared towards representing clients with excellence and empathy. Training chapters included (1) Empowering Office Culture Shifts, (2) Leading Individually, Together, and (3) The Empowerment Dynamic.
